CONTRACT FOR DECORATING A SHELTER OR GROUND DISPLAY FOR CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK CELEBRATION. THIS AGREEMENT, made by and between the CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK
COMMITTEE (hereinafter referred to as the “COMMITTEE’) and (hereinafter referred to as the “DECORATOR)
For and in consideration of the mutual promises hereinafter set forth, the parties to this contract agree as follows:
L Display Maintenance: All displays shall be done in good taste to insure that they will reflect the committee in a favorable light. The DECORATOR shall inspec the displays by Wednesday weekly. If any displays are found to be in need of repair, the DECORATOR shall make said repairs by the following “Saturday from the date the display was discovered to be in disrepair. If any loose parts of the displays are laying on park grounds, they shall be retrieved and placed in trash containers during said inspections. :
I1. Decorations Removal: Any and all decorations shall be removed from Forest Park, weather permitting, within two (2) weeks after the close of the celebration to insure the safety of park patrons, and the property of the Decorator. This is to include all nails and staples used to secure decorations to the structures. Failure to remove decorations within the aforementioned time frame may result in city workers removing those decorations. In this event, the park board will bill the Christmas in the Park Committee and these charges will be passed on to the decorators.
III. Lighting of Displays: All Displays are to be up and ready by Thanksgiving Day. November 25th is the first night for lighting, which is also the night of the parade and fireworks. Someone from your organization must sign in at the pool concession stand on November 25th and be there to turn on your display at the end of the fireworks. The displays will be lit from November 25th through December 26th.
IV. Outdoor Timers: You can start working on your display November 11 Decorator is required to have an outdoor timer to turn the display on and off.
